We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Buyer with Mining experience to join our team. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring goods and services for our mining operations, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Identify and source mining-related goods and services for our mining operations
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring best prices and terms are achieved
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop procurement strategies to meet their needs
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify potential suppliers and ensure competitive pricing
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including ethical procurement practices
- Analyze and report on procurement activities, including spend analysis and cost savings initiatives
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure procurement processes are aligned with overall business goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on mining-related goods and services
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
