We are seeking an experienced Commercial Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pursuing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and analysing market trends.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly costing and reporting
- Prepare budgets for mining operations, washplant operations, transporter operations and any other sites/projects as the company sees fit.
- Estimate and report on estimated cost of mining activities, projects, transport, and operations cost vs actual
- Review diesel reporting and suggest improvements
- Manage payment and cost processes for mining and washplant contractors
- Review Stock Movement Register (Opening Stocks, Productions, OB removal, Stock movements, Stockpiles, Sales, and Losses if any) for ROM and product coal stock
- Report and investigate any coal losses
- Maintain contracts and ensure that contractors are complying with all commercial aspects
- Update and maintain budgets and costs as per contract terms and conditions and update the same with applicable increases, contracts amendments and or new contracts.
Minimum Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Chartered Accountant Qualification
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience
- Strong Character with exceptional leadership and management skills.
- The ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization.
- Experience with financial analysis, reporting and knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
