We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing mining projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. The Project Manager will report to the Mining Operations Manager and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that our mining operations are optimized.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and stakeholder management
  • Lead project teams, including internal resources and external contractors, to ensure that project objectives are met
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to keep the project on track
  • Manage project risks and issues, including developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, including project team members, management, and external partners
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and managing changes to the budget
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations
  • Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports
  • Facilitate project team meetings and provide leadership and direction to project team members
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Mining Operations Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in project management or related role in the mining industry
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
