We are seeking an experienced Group Insurance Specialist to join our team at head office in Midrand . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our employee benefits program, including health, dental, vision, and disability insurance. The Group Insurance Specialist will report to the Human Resources Manager and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that our employee benefits program meets the needs of our employees and complies with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the employee benefits program, including enrollment, claims processing, and billing
- Monitor insurance claims and work with insurance providers to resolve issues and ensure timely payment
- Assist employees with questions and concerns related to their insurance coverage
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance providers, brokers, and consultants
- Conduct regular audits of the benefits program to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Research and recommend changes to the benefits program to improve its effectiveness and meet the changing needs of our employees
- Coordinate open enrollment activities, including communication, enrollment forms, and educational materials
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Work collaboratively with the Human Resources team to ensure that our benefits program is aligned with our overall HR strategy
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in business administration, finance, or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of experience in group insurance administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge of group insurance policies, products, and regulations
- Experience with insurance billing, claims processing, and customer service
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, brokers, and insurance providers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve insurance-related issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer software, including insurance-specific software and databases
