We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team in Newcastle/Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive maintenance program for our mining operations. The Maintenance Planner will report to the Maintenance Manager and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that our mining equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance program for all mining equipment
- Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance
- Plan and schedule major maintenance and repair projects, including shutdowns and overhauls
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and coordinated effectively
- Identify and prioritize maintenance needs based on equipment condition, reliability, and criticality
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, downtime, and costs
- Review and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental regulations and policies
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance planning or related role in the mining industry
- Knowledge of mining equipment, maintenance practices, and regulations
- Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
