We are seeking an experienced and reliable Store Clerk to join our team Newcastle and Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of duties related to the procurement, storage, issuance, and management of mining materials and equipment. The Store Clerk will report to the Store Manager and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that the store runs smoothly and efficiently.


  • Receive and verify incoming mining materials and equipment
  • Inspect, label, and store mining materials and equipment in designated locations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems
  • Issue mining materials and equipment to authorized personnel and departments
  • Perform regular stock checks and ensure that stock levels are maintained at appropriate levels
  • Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and purchase requisitions as needed
  • Receive and process returned items, and ensure that they are properly accounted for
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and policies
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment or similar position
  • Good customer service skills and ability to interact positively with customers
  • Ability to operate basic computer systems and cash registers
  • Attention to detail
  • Good and effective communication skills
  • Manufacturing or mining experience would be an added advantage
